Sarah & Brad’s wedding has been on our calendar for nearly 2 years and we are almost in disbelief that their wedding day has come and gone. After two years of planning and watching as Sarah & Brad continued to grow in their relationship, we would be lying if we didn’t say that we were a bit sad to see this day come. Although finally being able to photograph their day was definitely one of the highlights of our 2017 wedding season, it kind of feels like we are saying goodbye to this sweet couple that we’ve loved watching and cheering on for the past two years of our lives. It’s a hard feeling to describe to those who aren’t in the wedding industry, but believe us when we say that we are over-the-moon excited for our couple’s while also feeling a bit sad that their journey with us has come to an end. A happy, beautiful and memorable end, but an end nonetheless.
Held at the beautiful Faithbrooke Barn & Vineyards, Sarah & Brad wed on a cloudy November afternoon. Although the rain came and went throughout the day, nothing could dampen the excitement, anticipation, and love that buzzed around their day. Sarah & Brad were surrounded by their family and closest friends as they exchanged vows inside the barn in front of their large windows that overlook a beautiful view of the Massanutten Mountains. When it came time to do formal photos throughout the afternoon, it seemed that all the prayers for their day had been heard as the rain tapered off just long enough for us to photograph their portraits and head back inside. All in all, even throughout the rain showers, the wedding between Sarah & Brad was absolutely beautiful and unforgettable for all those in attendance.
If you know Sarah & Brad, you know that they are special in a way that is recognizable to anyone they come in contact with. Sarah has the sweetest spirit about her that makes you feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you meet her and Brad is one of the kindest and funniest grooms that we’ve had. The love between Sarah & Brad is not only beautiful and strong, but it’s visible in the way that they treat one another. The way that Brad looks at Sarah is the way that every bride deserves to be looked at on her wedding day; just look at the photos of him as he sees his bride walk down the aisle (*tears!*). We could not be more happy for the union of this sweet couple and we’re so thankful we were there to capture their day for them.
Sarah & Brad, we love you both and we’re so honored you chose us to capture your beautiful wedding day. We hope you love these photos and look back on them for decades to come 🙂
This reserved chair during the ceremony was for Sarah’s father, who would not have missed his little girl’s wedding for the world. Seeing it present throughout the ceremony was a very real reminder that his memory and his impact will never be forgotten by his family and friends and that he will always be dearly missed.
They are married!!
Even on a dreary afternoon, there aren’t many views that compare to this view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I mean, come on! Put a beautiful couple in front of this view and you have magic.
SWOON!
The inside architectural design of Faithbrooke is absolutely stunning. From the wooden beams to the dark contrast of the hardware, we were in love with the classy, rustic look of this venue. Sarah & Brad’s reception set-up was a beautiful complement to the venue.
We loved Sarah & Brad’s sweet first dance 🙂
Sarah chose to dance with her brother, in memory of their father, for the father-daughter dance. This dance between the two of them was so emotional that I don’t believe there was a dry eye in the place (including ours).
Time to dance! And dance, they did!
Instead of a grand exit outside, Sarah & Brad opted to do a last dance surrounded by their friends and family as they blew bubbles. Although grand exits can be exciting, we loved that they chose to do this sweet last dance together before leaving for the night.
Blessings,
Michael & Chelsea
Sarah & Brad, we love you guys and could not be more excited for you!
