When I opened our email and saw that we had an email from Kristi, I nearly jumped up and down. Kristi is the sister of one of our 2016 grooms, William, and I loved spending time with her on their wedding day. She was an excellent bridesmaid to her sister-in-law and her sweet spirit and kindness made us feel so welcome throughout their day. We quickly became Facebook friends and I was so excited to see when she and Edward got engaged. Though I didn’t push it, I waited patiently at our inbox, in hopes of getting an email from her in the coming months. And it finally came!
Kristi feels like and old friend to us and we love the way that Edward makes her smile. These two giggled from the start of their session to the end and it was so very sweet to capture. Their dog, Benji, was also along for the session and made a few appearances that you’ll see below. Going to First Landing State Park always means that you’ll be dodging other park visitors and having to step to the side to let people pass, but it was well worth the fight. Everything is finally coming to life again and the trees were pleasantly green. We hope you enjoy browsing through some of our favorite shots from their engagement session!
Would it surprise you if I said we were holding a cracker above the camera in order to get this hungry, determined look? No? I didn’t think so 🙂
These two were SO giggly throughout their session and it was incredibly cute. Just look at them!
When Kristi told me that she wanted to bring confetti to the engagement session, I said “YES!” immediately. It took a few takes (and a lot of time to pull all the individual pieces out of her hair), but it was successful in the end! Engagement season is such a beautiful time to celebrate with your significant other 🙂
This is the “Yay! We made it through our engagement session!” celebration.
Blessings,
Michael & Chelsea
