After nearly 10 years together, MiKaylah & Will were finally married at Dellwood Plantation in Chesterfield, Virginia on May 16, 2020 surrounded by their immediate family. It was a warm spring day, but the perfect day for them to exchange their hand written vows. Forget high school sweethearts, these two have been together since middle school! Their vows were some of our favorite ones we’ve ever heard because there was so much history, wisdom and love in them. We were so honored to be asked to capture their beautiful day as they finally became husband and wife after a decade of loving one another.
MiKaylah & Will are one of those couples that it is apparent from the first time you meet them that they bring out the best in one another. They are both kind, genuine, funny and filled with the Spirit. When we met them at their engagement session, we connected with them right away. We knew that our relationship with them would continue to build and we would remain friends with them long past their wedding day.
Three weeks before their wedding day, we received an email from MiKaylah that broke our hearts in two. Will’s mother was in a tragic fatal car accident. While still preparing for their wedding day and upcoming marriage, MiKaylah & Will and their families were now grieving a significant loss. We were truly without words.
However, when we showed up on their wedding day, there was an obvious and apparent peace that was felt. MiKaylah & Will and their families showed the perfect example of how both great joy and great sadness can exist within someone. Their strength this day was unbelievable and the peace was so calming. Their wedding day is one that we won’t soon forget.

Okay, y’all know we’re a sucker for daddy-daughter first looks, but MiKaylah & her father had us all in tears. So sweet!
This little bridge at Dellwood Plantation was the perfect spot for MiKaylah & Will’s sweet first look.
Could they make our jobs any easier? Swoon!
One of our favorite parts about this wedding was that MiKaylah & Will’s wedding party was made up entirely of their family members. MiKaylah’s bridesmaids were her sister and two sister-in-law’s and Will’s groomsmen were two of his brothers. They were surrounded by so much love on their day!
Dellwood Plantation was such a beautiful venue for MiKaylah & Will’s wedding day. Their grounds are well-maintained and all the spring rain we’ve gotten had everything bright green and cheery on their wedding day.
Though their wedding reception is scheduled for July, the newlyweds chose to have their first dances to commemorate the day.
Everyone in attendance anticipated that this moment would be the most emotional of the day, and it was. Will’s father presented him with his mother’s wedding band, which he kept on his finger throughout this emotional song. Father and son held each other tight as the song played and the tears fell from everyone’s eyes.
MiKaylah & Will, we could not be more happy for y’all. You are both so special, so kind and so genuine. We’re honored to have captured your special day and wish you all the best in your beautiful marriage!
We hope you enjoyed MiKaylah & Will’s beautiful Dellwood Plantation wedding in Chesterfield, Virginia. Their intimate spring wedding amidst the coronavirus was exactly the kind of joy we needed this month. While normally, our couple’s wedding day is the last day we see them, we’re thankful that we get to see them again in July when they have their wedding reception and celebrate their union once more!
Congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Wolf!
