Branding Session | Alexis Judy | Hampton Roads + Richmond Virginia Photographer

virginia photographer blogger writer branding session in home

When I spoke with Lexi about the idea of doing her Virginia branding session, I had no idea 1) how much planning there would be and 2) how much I would enjoy it. Being able to step into the every day life of the writer, blogger, speaker and childhood cancer survivor was a great honor and gave me an unique perspective on her life in her safe haven; at home. Though she’s very comfortable standing in front of an auditorium full of teenagers, speaking to congregations full of people and sharing her heart for the Jesus to anyone who sits down with her, she’s most at home when she’s writing in her bedroom while listening to worship music and sipping on coffee. Spending the afternoon with Lexi allowed me the opportunity to capture her in her natural element as she typed, researched, read and, of course, enjoyed coffee.

Branding sessions require much work upfront before you get to the day of the shoot, but it was a great experience for both us. As we set up a mood board full of inspiration, we dialed down on exactly what she was going for with her session and what kind of look she wanted to go forward with as her new brand. We chose an edit that is bright, golden & cheery with pops of rosy color – just like Lexi’s personality 🙂

Be sure to head over to her blog and read some of her compelling, honest, Savior focused words. She is so talented that you might just read them all. Also, just for fun, feel free to check out our very first photo session together that shows just how much we have BOTH progressed in the last 4 years!

We hope you enjoyed browsing through Alexis Judy’s Virginia branding session! If you enjoyed this post, feel free to check out some of our other work below.
