It’s time for one of our favorite blogs of the year – behind the scenes 2020!
Year after year, this is a favorite for our clients, family and friends as they get a look behind the scenes of what we do on a wedding day. Even with all the photos we have, it doesn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg of what we do in a day, but these photos give a decent idea of what it takes to get the shot. Sure, we take photos for 8-10 hours on a wedding day, but we also carry dresses, pin boutonnieres, remove veils, fix hair (for brides and grooms), fix ties, take off high heels, help put on shoes, get water, remind brides (and grooms) to breathe and more. Not to mention deflecting unnecessary distractions and drama when something in the day isn’t going as planned. We are 100% there for our brides and grooms and we think that’s part of what makes us different from other photographers: we truly serve our clients. Anyone who has worked with us will tell you that we always go well beyond what our job description is. We want our couples to have as close to a perfect wedding day as possible and so we will do all we can to help ensure that happens.
We hope you enjoy getting a peak behind the scenes of our 2020 wedding season!
Caught him with the bouquet!
This series of photos could be titled, “Chelsea demonstrates” or better, “attempts to organize large groups.”
Demonstrating the “bouquets up” photo. Demonstrating the “group walk” photo…
Peek-a-boo! If there is one thing that happens on every wedding day, it’s this: carrying our brides dress from each location Always adjusting ties, fixing hair and making sure our grooms are presentable. “Can I come under there too, guys?” “You stand right here…” Forever putting in/adjusting/removing veils for our brides
We had a few of the Rowlands siblings along with us for a some of the weddings this year. Sophia assisted us for one of our August weddings and took a lot of the behind the scenes photos of the two of us while Faith assisted Mark, with Rowlands Videography, for one of our September weddings. Of course, we had to document their presence in the most flattering way.
Can’t bring a Rowlands sibling to a wedding and expect them not to dance during the reception.
We thought it would be fun to show some behind the scenes vs. the final shot photos from Julia & Brent’s wedding. Big thanks to Sophia for capturing these behind the scenes photos for us so that we could show these!
Time to corral the guys… Peekaboo! If you know me at all, you know this is my go-to pose. And perhaps the all-time most embarressing behind the scenes photo ever: Chelsea almost getting rundown by a departing bride and groom. Oh, this is the bride & groom’s exit? Oops!
