It’s that time of year again where we share our favorite behind the scenes images from our 2019 wedding season! We can’t believe we’re only 2 weeks away from the end of the year! 2019 was a whirlwind for us, even though we took on less weddings this year. Somehow, the year still flew by and we’re in disbelief that we’re about to start a new decade in just 14 short days. I feel like we’ll be asking this for our entire life, but where does all the time go?
We intentionally took on considerably less weddings in 2019 because we knew that we would be traveling for a few (North Carolina, Las Vegas & New York) and we didn’t want to overfill our calendar with Isaiah still being as young as he is. The longer we are a family, the more time we don’t want to give away casually because we recognize it’s value to us and so we focused on more sessions this year instead. The few weddings we did take on this year, we thoroughly enjoyed, especially with our new lighting setup, as seen below in most of the shots.
You may notice that there are not many behind the scenes photos this year, and very few are of Michael. That’s because with our new lighting setup, Michael was often the one who would be holding our flash while I was shooting, or he would setup the flash then go around and grab the other camera while I was primarily shooting. I did get more behind the scenes videos this year on my phone, which you can view at the end of this post. All together though, our flash setup just adds more to our shooting process so it’s easy to forget to take behind the scenes photos as opposed to how easy it was in years past.
