Hermitage Hill Farm Wedding – Waynesboro, Virginia Wedding Photographers
When you plan an autumn wedding, you pray for the weather that Madalyn & Brendon had on their wedding day. It was a beautiful 60 degrees with a slight breeze and not a cloud in the sky on October 13th, 2018 at the stunning Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables. Madalyn was getting ready for the day with her bridesmaids and Brendon with his groomsmen. Though their getting ready quarters were in close proximity, Madalyn & Brendon chose not to see one another until the ceremony which made the excitement and anticipation of the day even more heightened. After holding hands and exchanging letters around a stable door, Madalyn & Brendon were ready for their outdoor Hermitage Hill Farm wedding ceremony.
Aspects of Madalyn & Brendon’s personalities and their relationship ran through each and every detail of their day. From the thoughtfully chosen autumn wedding theme to the beer themed reception, each detail was uniquely them. Madalyn’s bouquet was one of the most stunning bouquets we’ve ever photographed, but even with that being said, Madalyn easily outshined it. Madalyn looked like she was made to be a bride. And more than that, she was made to be Brendon’s bride.
Madalyn is beautiful, caring, thoughtful and full of grace. Brendon is kind, funny, welcoming and fun. Together, they are a couple that you want to know, that you want to spend time with and that you want to call friends. Now that their day is done, we can’t help but feel a little sad that it’s all over, but we’re so thankful that we got to play a small part in their day and that we get to call them friends.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Barrios! We hope you enjoy this Hermitage Hill Farm wedding.
When we arrived for the day, we were welcomed with a sweet surprise. Brendon had arranged for the hat of Madalyn’s late best friend, Katie, to be present with her as she got ready for the day. The tears fell as Madalyn read his sweet letter and thought of how much she wished Katie was there with her. Although no one else but Madalyn had read his letter, in bold letters on the back, Brendon had written “She is still in your corner!” and just writing that out brings tears to our eyes all over again.
Father Daughter First Look

These bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits in the Hermitage Hill Stables turned out beautifully! We loved all the natural light that came through the stable throughout the day.
Madalyn was made to be a bride! Look at her!
Rather than doing a first look, Madalyn & Brendon chose to do a first touch instead and exchange letters. We love the anticipation of this moment as our bride & groom realize they are minutes away from becoming husband & wife!
And the cutest ring bearer award goes to…
Our favorite time of the day 🙂
Rather than assigning numbers to the tables, Madalyn & Brendon chose to assign breweries to the tables. Every brewery represented at their reception was one that Madalyn & Brendon have visited together and have memories at. In addition to the unique centerpieces, Madalyn & Brendon also chose to gift their guests with a beer that they brewed together, specifically for their guests. For two beer lovers that even had their engagement session at a brewery, we can’t think of a better, classier way of displaying their affinity for the beverage.
Introducing the new Mr. & Mrs. Barrios!

We hadn’t, until Saturday.
