Anyone remember these two? Here’s a little refresher: We had the privilege of photographing their sweet proposal in Virginia Beach last September! We had a great time planning out the special surprise with David and getting to capture the moment Sarah said “yes” to marrying him. When it came time for David & Sarah to start their wedding planning, we were secretly crossing our fingers that they would ask us to photograph their big day. After quite a few months of waiting, they reached out and we said “YES” without any hesitation. David & Sarah will be getting married in South Carolina next spring and we can’t wait to join them in celebration!
A big part of our excitement about this session is because we are dedicated to David & Sarah’s love story. After helping to plan the proposal logistics last September to following their day-to-day lives on social media for the past year, David and Sarah feel like friends to us. We love that we have the opportunity to become friends our couples because we want to be a part of their lives on a deeper level than just photographing their wedding. Our heart behind become wedding photographers was not just to photograph the biggest day of their lives and then never see them again. Our goal was and continues to be to make an impact in our couple’s lives, do life with them and cheer them on as they accomplish much as husband and wife. David & Sarah are the prime example of our mission coming to fruition and we absolutely love that we get to do this as our job.
When we met up with David & Sarah in Charlotte, our first spot for photos was Freedom Park. For those that aren’t familiar, this park is definitely a must-see if you’re traveling through Charlotte. Beautiful trees and expansive grounds with a cute creek that you can venture down to. We spent half of our time shooting around the park before venturing to Uptown to do some photos around the city and at Romare Bearden Park. Both locations were perfect for the look that David & Sarah were going for and it gave us a great view of the city that they both love. To end the day, we went out for dinner at a cute little pub style restaurant in NoDa and enjoyed more time just getting to know these two. For those that are wondering, we would return back to Charlotte in a heartbeat.
Although I could talk about this sweet couple and our amazing weekend with them for much, much longer, I’ll stop so that you can look through some of our favorite images from their session. David & Sarah, we could not be more excited to capture these memories of your engagement season for you and we can’t wait for your wedding next year!
