For those of you who don’t know, we had the great pleasure of photographing Michael’s sister’s wedding day at the beginning of September. Lydia is 4 years younger than Michael and her groom, Seth, is one of Michael’s best friends. This wedding was truly the joining of two families who have known each other for well over a decade. The wedding was held at Kempsville Presbyterian Church; the church that Michael & Lydia both grew up in. It was one of the most beautiful September days that we’ve had so far and it was a wonderful day to have a wedding.
Seth & Lydia chose to have one person on each side to make up their bridal party and they both chose their sibling that they are closest to. For Lydia, that was her younger sister, Audrey, and for Seth, that was his older brother, Gabe. Each sibling stood by their side throughout their 3 year dating relationship, so it was only appropriate that they also be the ones to stand by their side on their wedding day. Plus, when you have a combined 19 siblings to choose from, you kind of have to narrow it down at some point 😉
Without further adieu, here are some of our favorites from Lydia & Seth’s wedding!
We’re definitely bias, but we think Lydia made for such a stunning bride
Lydia chose her sister, Audrey, to be her maid-of-honor and only bridesmaid and Seth chose Gabe, his older brother, to stand by his side.
Any daddy’s girl has to have a first look with her dad. Lydia’s first look with her dad was so, so sweet and we’re so glad they chose to do it.
This sweet moment between Lydia and her future mother-in-law was so sweet. The joining of two families was almost here.
Here we go!
After the ceremony, we grabbed Lydia & Seth and headed over to Regent University to do their bride & groom portraits. The diversity of Regent makes any photo session so unique and beautiful. We’re so glad we took the quick trip over to capture these!
These golden hour shots are dreamy ❤
Time for toasts and cake!
Time to dance!
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Spargur!
