With all the rain that we’ve had in Hampton Roads, we were not confident that we would shoot a single wedding this year that didn’t have a threat of a thunderstorm. Just the week prior, we had to avoid the rain and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony. But that was not the case for Kendall & Jordan’s wedding. Their wedding day was PERFECT. Literally, you could not have asked for better weather. We’re not sure how many prayers went up for no rain and tolerable temperatures, but they worked.
Kendall & Jordan’s wedding was beautiful in every single way. Not only were their green & ivory wedding details something that wedding photographers dream about, but they completely transformed the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth for their big day. We’ve shot several weddings at this beautiful venue, but we have never seen it look like this. Kendall, Jordan and their families thought through every little detail and it was truly stunning. Not only do we have the best couple’s ever, but we also have the most creative couple’s ever too. Each of our wedding’s this year have been absolutely stunning and we’re always so giddy to capture it for the happy couple.
While we are so sad to wrap up Kendall & Jordan’s wedding, we are so excited to share some of our favorite images with you all. We hope you enjoy!
The beautiful bride-to-be!
And the handsome groom-to-be
Kendall & Jordan chose to do a first look and we’re so glad they did. The excitement that we were able to capture in this moment is priceless!
Kendall rocked her bridal portraits, as expected. She is so stunning and we’re pretty convinced after their engagement session and wedding that this girl can’t take a bad photo. She was glowing all day!
Because Kendall & Jordan chose to do a first look, we were able to do a TON of bride & groom portraits before the ceremony. It put a lot of ease on the day and gave these two some time to spend just the two of them, before they walked down the aisle to become husband and wife.
While we have shot at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth numerous times, we have never seen it look like this. Kendall & Jordan chose to have white drapes across the ceiling and hanging down alongside the walls of the ceremony space that made the large area feel intimate and romantic.
One of the most common and sweetest traditions we see at weddings nowadays is an area of framed photos in remembrance of those family members and friends that couldn’t be with them on their big day. While we always photograph this area, we don’t typically highlight it in the blog. However, when we walked into Kendall & Jordan’s ceremony space, we instantly noticed the photo of the beautiful, 18 year old that tragically passed away in a car accident a couple of weeks before Kendall & Jordan’s wedding day. Kaitlyn Duffy’s death has rocked the Chesapeake community and unified the schools like the area had never seen before. Losing loved ones is never easy, but lives taken too soon are always the hardest to process. Rest in peace, sweet girl.
While large bridal parties are always a ton of fun, having a small bridal party for this sweet wedding was a breath of fresh air. Plus, they were amazing! Each of the individuals that Kendall & Jordan picked to stand alongside them are so special and play a pivotal role in supporting them through their relationship.
While we took family formal photos and a few more photos of the bride & groom, the wedding coordinator, her team and the catering staff flipped this room into a beautiful reception space. We were blown away!
This bridal party was too fun 🙂
Introducing, for only the second time, Mr. & Mrs. MacCauley!
Another beautiful example of why you always say yes to sunset portraits 🙂
Time to dance!
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. MacCauley!
