After a beautiful spring morning engagement session at Fort Monroe a couple of weeks ago, it came as no surprise when Ashley wanted to shoot there for her and Logan’s engagement photos. Fort Monroe is so diverse with its historic architecture and beautiful plants and trees. We knew that even though we were returning very soon, that we’d be able to give Ashley and Logan’s session a different look with all that Fort Monroe has to offer. Although it was a bit windy (and a little chilly), Ashley and Logan were such great sports throughout their session as we wandered around the fort.
We loved laughing and hanging out with these two. Hearing about their upcoming wedding has us so excited for their September wedding and we can’t wait to see them again! Take a look at some of our favorite images from their sweet session.
They were a little hesitant at first, but when Logan spun Ashley, she lit up. We can’t wait to watch them dance together on their wedding day this fall.
This pretty pink tree is definitely one of our favorites parts of Fort Monroe. We had to revisit it again with Ashley and Logan and we’re so glad we did! So pretty!
These two 🙂
Fort Monroe has so many different places to shoot that we try our hardest to shoot at a new location each time we come. With Ashley and Logan, we found our way up to this spot that gave a great view of the fort and the surrounding greenery. Plus, we loved how the rugged, industrial locations contrasted so well with their dressy outfits.
Right before the sun was setting, we ran down to the pier to catch a few shots near the water. Not only do these two love the beach, but it’s actually where Logan proposed to Ashley. We ended the session with some glowy, sunset silhouettes at their request.
Perfect end to the perfect night.
