Truth be told, I’ve been trying to get Sarah in front of our camera for as long as I’ve known her. We met almost 6 years ago and ever since we met, I knew I wanted to take her future engagement and wedding photos. Over the last 6 years, our group of friends has been through so much together and we’ve finally found “our girls.” Monthly girls nights with this one are always a blast and I nearly jumped up and down in excitement when Sarah shared with us at she and Will were engaged. I don’t know if Sarah ever asked us to be her wedding photographers or if I just said “I call dibs,” but either way, here we are!
Sarah & Will’s connection is magnetic. They have a natural chemistry that you can see from the moment you meet them. Their sweet engagement session was no different and we had a great time hanging out and laughing with them. Although you can’t tell from the pictures, the temperature dropped quite a bit from the beginning of the session to the end, so these two were troopers! Ella, Will’s daughter, also accompanied us for the session, as well as their two puppies. We are so glad to know Sarah & Will and so happy to celebrate with them this upcoming December as they get married!
Take a look at our favorite images from their session!
Sarah and Will have two precious pups; Raleigh and Sophie. They didn’t want to be in too many photos, but we got them to cooperate for just a few.
These two! 🙂
Will’s daughter, Ella, spent the afternoon with us as well. While we included in a few photos, her main role in the shoot was to snap some candid photos with Will’s iPhone and play with the pups. She did well! 😉
After some time in Ocean View, we used the rest of the sunlight in the Freemason District of Norfolk. We started at Pagoda Gardens, which is blooming beautifully right now, and then wandered down to the cobblestone streets. As you can see, Will and Sarah decided to take it up a notch and dressed to the nines for this portion of the session.
Can you tell by these photos that the temperature significantly dropped AND it was windy? Yeah, I didn’t think so 😉
Loveeee this one!
These sunset silhouette photos were the perfect end to the night 🙂
While Sarah & Will were walking ahead of us for this shot, Ella (Will’s daughter) says “Look! It’s like the ending of a movie!” Get this girl a camera because she’s got the eye!
