Our final engagement session of 2016 ended up being one of our favorite sessions of the year because of this sweet couple and some gorgeous afternoon light! Nina & Ben are the sweetest couple and we had the best time getting to know them during their session. Talking about they met, how the wedding planning is going and what their hobbies are is one of our favorite things about engagement sessions. Ben & Nina both attended CNU, but actually met for the first time when they were both studying abroad at Oxford. They spent one day walking around England and Nina said she “knew he was the one.” Fast forward a couple of years later and they are engaged and planning their wedding! It’s such a joy to have a small part in a couple’s story and we are so thankful Ben & Nina chose us to capture their big day!
Windsor Castle Park is one of those places that you can come to a million different times and come out with a session that is unique to each couple. As we strolled through the park for the third time this year, we found new hidden places that were the perfect background for Nina & Ben’s vision for their engagement photos. The glowy, golden hour light and clear sky was perfect and we are so excited with the results of this session. Would you believe that it was 40 degrees and windy? These two were such good sports as we fought against the cold weather to get some absolutely beautiful engagement photos. See for yourself! 🙂
These two are the sweetest!
While we were at Windsor Castle about to wrap up their session, there was an elderly woman walking her dog and it somehow got of its leash and ran straight over to Nina & Ben. The woman apologized for the disruption but Nina & Ben loved the few seconds with the cute pup! They love dogs and said, “this is perfect because we LOVE dogs,” so we snapped a few while they were saying hi to their new friend 🙂
One of our favorite parts of Windsor Castle Park is the view of the water. Quite often during engagement sessions, we ask if our couples would practice their first dance for us. It’s always such a sweet moment and we love when the groom is willing to have fun with his bride by spinning and dipping her. Let’s just say that Ben & Nina are definitely ready for their first dance 🙂
Nina & Ben looked SO good during their engagement session that we had to take some detail shots of their outfits. I mean, come on! Look at how snazzy they looked! We absolutely loved that they decided to go all out and really dress to the nines for their engagement session. It adds such a romantic feel to the session and we loved it!
You know you have an amazing couple if they are willing to chase the sunset with you just to get those golden, glowy portraits! Well worth the run! 😉
