On one of the last days of October and over 8 years after meeting one another, it was finally Kendra and Corey’s wedding day. The getting ready rooms were buzzing with excitement as the hours narrowed down to the highly anticipated union of this sweet couple. We started the day with Kendra and her bridesmaids at a hotel close to the ceremony venue. Immediately, we fell in love with their details and the cohesiveness of their wedding theme. The bridesmaid dresses were deep purple and the hints of yellow and orange in the invitation suite gave their autumn wedding a beautiful, complete theme.
You’ll also notice a couple of different times in this wedding, you’ll notice a yellow umbrella is pictured; a few times during detail photos and another time right before Kendra and Corey’s first look. If you’re not familiar with the show How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM), a yellow umbrella is significant to the main character, Ted, and symbolizes “the mother” throughout the seasons of the show. HIMYM is Corey’s favorite show and his closest friends draw resemblances between he and Ted, especially Ted’s hopeless romantic side. Kendra & Corey wanted to incorporate the yellow umbrella is small ways throughout their wedding and we love how they chose to do it. Kendra’s gift to Corey on their wedding day was a small, yellow umbrella with their wedding date on the inside and it’s shown in various photos below. We absolutely love when couples incorporate parts of their unique, love story into their wedding day and make their photos and their day unique to them.
Kendra & Corey exchanged vows at the Greenbrier Country Club, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Between the ceremony and the reception, they transformed the ceremony space into a reception hall and the newlyweds were introduced right after sunset to their cheerful guests. After a delicious meal, Kendra and Corey danced the night away with their family and friends. Eight years later and these two are finally married!
Take a look at our favorite images from their beautiful wedding day!
The journal pictured below was part of Kendra’s gift to Corey. From their very first date, Kendra had written in the journal throughout the duration of their relationship. It was only fitting that Kendra would write one last entry, on the morning of their wedding day, before giving it to Corey.

Look at this bride!!
Such a stunning group of bridesmaids! Love the deep purple dresses!
Corey’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time is the BEST.
We chose to add a few more photos of the mantel than usual because my talented dad actually made this for Kendra & Corey! It’s it beautiful!
“Corey, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. You can kiss your bride!”
Kendra and Corey chose to step out of their reception for sunset portraits and we had a blast! The country club let use two of their golf carts for ease of getting around the course and it added such a fun element to the evening.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Murray!
