When I say Kendall & Jordan made our jobs incredibly easy, I mean it. From the moment we started, we knew that this was going to be one of the easiest and most fun engagement sessions we’ve had. Kendall & Jordan have a natural chemistry that truly pops in every photo. They took direction perfectly, but most importantly, they knew how to naturally flow from pose to pose and interact with each other without feeling the pressure of the camera on them. So many times during the session, I found myself saying, “Oh my gosh, I loved what you did just now. Do that again!” Much of their natural interactions were due largely in part to the fact that these two have been together for 6 years! Their sweet love story and the story of his proposal is one of my favorites. Without a doubt, these two have true chemistry and it was a dream to capture on camera.
Kendall chose the Mariner’s Museum as the location for her engagement photos after seeing some photos online and we were thrilled at her find! Neither Michael or I had visited previously, but we are always excited to shoot at new locations. Little did we know, the Mariner’s Museum in Newport News was a total gem! They had beautiful greenery, stone architecture, a floating dock and even a stunning view of the sunset. What more can two photographers ask for?? We had such a great time hanging out, exploring the park and getting to know this sweet couple. When it came time for the sun to set, these two were even willing to literally RUN to chase the sunset. Can we just go on record right now to say that we have the best couples EVER?! We are itching with anticipation to shoot their beautiful wedding next June at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth. Without further adieu, take a look at our favorite shots from their stunning, Newport News engagement session.
These two are SUCH naturals. *Swoon!*
Look at this photo and tell me this girl is not a model. Goodness! Kendall is so stunning!
We were so impressed by Kendall & Jordan’s outfits for their session. We absolutely loved what they picked out and they fit perfectly with the location. The more formal outfit was perfect for the beginning of the session with the stone and greenery, but their casual outfits were perfect for the second portion of the session when the sun began it’s descent and we started to get the golden tones.
This tree was on Kendall’s list of places at the park she wanted to shoot at, and once we saw the tree in person, we completely agreed! It’s so beautiful how the light came through and gave a beautiful, golden tone to the images.
These two!! *Swoon!*
So, Kendall & Jordan hope to move to California shortly after they get married and these images at sunset had us feeling like we were transported to California with them. These are some of our favorite location portraits we have ever taken! They have such a West Coast feel to them.
